We’re excited to share the highlights from our recent event, the Hats and Heroes Ball, and provide you with a glimpse of the incredible work the Kids Beating Cancer organization does to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer.

 

Kids Beating Cancer (KBC)  is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to beat cancer and live a healthy, happy life. Since inception, they’ve been committed to funding life-saving treatments, providing essential resources, and offering support to children and families affected by pediatric cancer.

This spectacular event, organized by Whitney Carillon Events, in collaboration with The Kids Beating Cancer Team and The Clane Gessel Team, was a true celebration of hope, resilience, and the power of community.

Hats and Heroes Ball: A Night to Remember

On October 21, 2023, KBC hosted their annual gala, the Hats and Heroes Ball, at the exquisite Grand Crystal Ballroom at The Waldorf Astoria Orlando, brought to life by Whitney Carillon Events. It was a night filled with glitz, glamour, and, most importantly, a heartfelt commitment to making a difference.

 

Guests arrived dressed in their finest attire, with many sporting elegant hats in line with the party theme. The evening was a spectacular fusion of celebration, entertainment, and philanthropy. Attendees enjoyed a gourmet dinner, live music, and dancing, all while sharing inspiring stories of hope and resilience.

 

One of the highlights of the night, was showing the children their personalized superhero avatars as they walked across the stage to a round of applause. The support and victory was felt throughout the room. Earlier this year, The Clane Gessel Team visited the children during their superhero party where Clane Gessel took headshots of each child that wanted to participate. Then, Chloe Cahill edited each photo into a superhero avatar reflecting outwardly the inner strength each of the children possess. 

 

“We are deeply moved and inspired by the perseverance these little superheroes display, and we were honored to participate in their journey.  This was, by far, our favorite event in 2023 and it was so rewarding to see their reaction to the super hero version of themselves.”

Record-Breaking Funds Raised

The Hats and Heroes Ball was a resounding success, raising an astounding $1.5 million for Kids Beating Cancer. This is a record-breaking achievement, and we are incredibly grateful to our generous donors, sponsors, and supporters who made this possible.
