National Geographic Spectacle – Rare and Astonishing Photographs – Cover by Clane Gessel
UPDATED: We’re honored to have shot the cover of National Geographic Spectacle – a book released by National Geographic in October 2018, it’s the highest honor a photographer can have. It’s an image of the marble caves of Patagonia, shot in 2017 on a trip there with my dad. It’s a culmination of a long career of fine art photography, years of shooting millions of images in landscape and fine art, then transitioning to weddings. I can’t say enough how grateful and humbled I am for this distinct and rare honor, something no one in the wedding world has ever achieved. It’s an honor deserved by so many photographers, but given to so few. Thank you National Geographic!
We also had the induction of the print into all National Geographic Fine Art Galleries in October 2019 – with a gathering of friends and family and New York’s Soho National Geographic Fine Art Gallery. It hangs in every gallery nationwide. It’s such an honor and privilege to be included in the fine art world – recognition such as this is rare and based on merit.
There’s also a full spread inside the book if you’d like to see it bigger. You can order the book here.
