Hyatt Regency, Jersey City

The New York City skyline is iconic, and so is getting married in New York. Yes, you can find some spectacular wedding venues in Manhattan, but there’s just something magical about taking in the full view of the city skyline, right in front of you. For that, there’s no better place than Jersey City. Right across the Hudson River, it’s a quick but scenic ferry ride away, or a few stops on the PATH from Manhattan. The location is perfectly connected for anyone arriving by foot from the city or by air travel, train or car from other parts of the country (or world — Newark International Airport is just about 10 miles away!). For those who don’t want the night to end, New York City is a great place to continue the after-party festivities with your guests.

In terms of venue and accommodation, it doesn’t get much better than the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson. Akina and Nirav had an unforgettably colorful Indian wedding ceremony right on the water, with unparalleled views of New York City as their backdrop. Their makeshift aisle was decked in flowers, facing the towering skyline of Manhattan on a gorgeous, sunny day. The pair and their guests enjoyed the best of both worlds: a big city feel with spectacular views, but a more relaxed atmosphere, away from the traffic and rush of NYC. After watching the breathtaking sunset together, their celebrations continued with an equally colorful, flower-themed reception indoors.

Akina and Nirav had an unforgettably colorful wedding ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City – planned immaculately by SJS Events.  It was an Indian wedding for the record books – some of the best decor we’ve ever seen by Design House.  Truly an honor to capture the couple’s memories.  Check it out below!
